1. Where did the title "Bitchy" come from?
The title comes from a video I posted to YouTube called ‘How to be a BITCH’. In the video, I describe an acronym I created for the word BITCH…and people really got into that video. So I thought, why not write a book to teach the concepts more in depth. “How to be a BITCH” didn’t have the right ring to it for the title of my book. But Bitchy did!
2. What does B.I.T.C.H. mean to you?
B.I.T.C.H. stands for Beautiful Individual That Communicates Honestly. It’s about being honest with yourself and honest with the people around you. I believe those two things are crucial steps on that path to achieving and maintaining happiness. And that’s what this whole movement is really about - inspiring people to be the happiest they can be!
3. What is the best book you have read in 2018?
The best book I’ve read in 2018 is Bitchy and I’m not just saying that because I wrote it. I truly have never read another book like it! It’s funny, down-to-earth, and insightful. A lot of self-help books are written in a very esoteric style which I appreciate greatly. I just felt there was a need for a book that was just as insightful, but a bit more relatable and that’s what Bitchy is.
4. What was your writing process like for this book?
Oh, it was so much fun! I was working a 9-5 job then. So, I would wake up before work and write for three hours each morning, and then I’d write for at least an hour each evening after work. And after a little under a year and several edits, Bitchy was born.
5. Do you plan to write more books in the future?
Of course! & Perhaps I’ll write a book specifically for the fellas next!
6. When did you start coaching and who is one client you have been inspired by that you have coached?
I started coaching in 2017. And I’m inspired by all of my clients. They have the awareness to know that they need assistance, the courage to seek that assistance, and the willingness not only to learn but also to implement what they’ve learned. Not everyone has those qualities. So I admire and am continually inspired by those qualities in all of my clients!
7. In your opinion, What are some critical mindset shifts for achieving happiness and success in 2018?
I love teaching on this topic! And I’m offering a free training to teach more in-depth on strategies to achieve high confidence, happiness, and success later this month. More details will be available soon at tiffanyokafor.com.
To achieve happiness and success in 2018, it’s important to shift from limited to limitless in your beliefs about what is possible for you. Now more than ever, there are so many examples of people who’ve achieved things most of us never thought would be possible. Silly people from small towns are becoming internationally known comedians via Instagram. Black film directors are breaking records and holding down #1 spots at the box office. A reality tv-star has become and remained president…and I could go on!
Regardless of what your beliefs are regarding those examples, it’s important to use those examples as confirmation that you can attain success and do whatever it is you feel called to do!
